Sunday Summary #1

Sunday, April 16, 2017

I've enjoyed reading these posts on other blogs lately so thought I'd start my own little series of weekly roundup posts.

This week has been my first week of the Easter holidays. I have a pile of marking to do and a huge to do list, but I've put it off this week to spend some time relaxing, enjoying some of the sun and taking some much needed time off.

What I did this week:

Last weekend my boyfriend and I took a trip to The Alnwick Gardens.

The weather was great! It was too early in the year for most of the garden to be in bloom but we had a great day out and it was great to sit on the swings under the cherry blossom trees.

On Monday, I took a trip to the Lake District with my dad and my brother. We went to Grasmere and walked up to Easedale Tarn. We then spent an hour or so exploring Rydal Caves before returning home. Although it was cloudy it was still quite warm so it was a great day out!

I love going to the lake district and I'm lucky that it isn't very far from where I live. I plan to go back a few times this summer.

On Thursday I spent the morning in the hairdressers. I finally decided to get my hair cut shorter and had more blonde put through it. My hair feels so much thicker now, I love it!

What I read and watched:

This week I finally started to read The Book Thief. It has been on my TBR list for quite a while but when I'm working I don't often read books for myself. I normally spend most of my reading time reading children's books!

I started to watch 13 Reasons Why on Netflix and I'm hooked! One day I ended up watching 5 episodes back to back. I also watched the new episode of Prison Break, I'm so glad it is back for another series as I loved it before. It was also the penultimate episode of Broadchurch this week and I still have no idea who did it! I'm looking forward to watching the final episode next week.

What I stitched:

As it's the Easter holidays, I've also had plenty of time to cross stitch... Mainly while watching 13 Reasons Why.

This week, I've stitched a little bit on my World Travel Bookshelf and my Hogwarts Crest.

If you're interested in cross stitch I will be doing a more in-depth monthly cross stitch round-up at the end of each month.

What have you been up to this week?
